Issues relating to Holditchs theorem

Ron Stern

After introducing Holditchs Theorem, properties of Holditch curves are discussed, including smoothness and curvature. Then Holditchs original method of proof of his theorem is presented. The rest of the talk is devoted to verifying the existence of a type of smooth envelope, which Holditchs method required. A conjecture in this regard is stated. This is joint work with Alina Stancu and Hal Proppe.
