The Zeldovich-Von Neumann Doring detonation theory models the propagation of a detonation shock in the gaz which burs ahed this shock. Its stability is studied using an Evans function and we can describe rigorously, using analyticity and decay at infinity, the decaying solutions of the linearized system. This includes the rigorous treatment of a turning point and an exact block-diagonalization of a system of variable coefficients ODEs in a high frequency regime
